Hyderabad, October 6, 2023: Media Plus, the trusted name in media and PR services, takes immense pride in its role as the official PR agency for two monumental events that unfolded on this memorable day. The inauguration of a section of the restored Nizam Museum, alongside the grand celebration of the 90th birth anniversary of the Late H.E.H. Mukarram Jah Bahadur, the Eighth Nizam of Hyderabad, brought the glorious past of the Nizam’s era back to life.
The newly restored segment of the Nizam Museum, unveiled as part of Mukarram Jah’s 90th birthday celebrations, showcases the world’s largest wardrobe of the Sixth Nizam Nawab Mir Mahbub Ali Khan Bahadur. This colossal, meticulously crafted walk-in wardrobe, extending 176 feet on each side, is an architectural marvel crafted from the finest Burma teak. It also houses the Nizam’s exquisite footwear, restored to pristine condition. The Nizam’s Museum, located within the historic Purani Haveli Palace, is a treasure trove of artifacts from the Nizam’s era, including a priceless collection of perfumes, the world’s largest natural Basra pearl, garments worn by the Nizam himself, rare coins, intricate silver models of iconic landmarks, and a captivating array of silverware, swords, letter scrolls, and gifts that once graced the Nizam’s presence.
The Chief Guest for the Founder’s Day celebration of Mukarram Jah School, Mr. A. K. Khan, I.P.S. (Retd.), Advisor to the Government of Telangana for Minority Affairs, paid a heartfelt homage to the erstwhile rulers of Hyderabad. He lauded their commitment to secular values and education-centric initiatives, emphasizing the visionary decisions made by the Seventh Nizam Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan, who ensured that Osmania University’s design was free from religious symbolism. This underscored his commitment to secular education and Hyderabad’s role as an educational leader.
Guest of Honor, Mr. A. Shyam Mohan, Chairman of Forum for Democracy & Global Peace, praised the school’s dedication to maintaining educational excellence while preserving Hyderabad’s culture and heritage. He quoted Gandhi on the transformative power of education and highlighted the school’s contribution to both education and heritage preservation.
The event was hosted by Mukarram Jah Trust for Education & Learning, led by Mr. Mohammed Abul Faiz Khan, and another Paigah family noble, Mr. Faiz Bin Jung. The Founder’s Day showcased the school’s remarkable performance, with recognition as India’s No.1 School by Education World for two consecutive years.
