Hyderabad, 4th August: In a grand celebration marking the silver jubilee of Media Plus and the Gawah journal, Syed Khaled Shahbaaz’s book, The Kohinoors, was officially released. The event, held yesterday, highlighted the importance of preserving Hyderabad’s cultural and historical heritage and drew notable figures from various fields.

Prominent guests included Former Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Siasat News Editor Amer Ali Khan, Nawab Abul Faiz Khan (Trustee of the Mukarram Jah Trust for Education and Learning), Mir Irshad Ali, and former MLC Aminul Hasan Jaffery. These esteemed personalities underscored the vital role of writers in documenting and preserving the rich heritage of Hyderabad.

Mahmood Ali commended Shahbaaz for his meticulous research and his noble decision to return from a promising career in the United States to care for his parents, a gesture he described as a form of great worship. Amer Ali Khan lauded Shahbaaz for his unwavering commitment to documenting Hyderabad’s history and cultural traditions. He also highlighted the significant role Siasat has played in Urdu journalism over the past 75 years and stressed the importance of nurturing relationships between parents and children.

Nawab Abul Faiz Khan spoke about the ongoing research into Hyderabad’s illustrious past and announced the forthcoming publication of an extraordinary book, expressing his satisfaction with Shahbaaz’s contributions as a young journalist.

Syed Khaled Shahbaaz, in his address, shared his experiences in Saudi Arabia and America, which made him realize the significance of Hyderabad. He likened the influential personalities featured in his book to the ‘Kohinoor’, acknowledging their remarkable contributions to the city’s reputation across various fields.

The event was also graced by former Indian football captain Shabbir Ali, Faiz Aam Trust Secretary Ifthekhar Hussain, neurosurgeon Dr. Abdul Jaleel Kirmani, Dr. Imamuddin, journalists Mir Ayub Ali Khan and J.S. Ifthekhar, M. Somshekhar, and Dr. Khizer Husain. The proceedings were expertly conducted by Gawah Editor, Fazil Husain Parvez.
